    One of the most confounding, irritating, exasperating, and annoying habits Greg had from the dawning of cell phones was his insistance of answering scams, phishing, robocalls and siren songs from places like Kolkata, Pakistan, Jamaica, New Jersey, Manila, Alabama and those calls clearly described as TELEMARKETER on his phone screen. Instead of ignoring the obvious criminals he would snatch up his phone wherever he happened to be and briskly answer "This is Greg Sheehy." He might not send his bank info to a Nigerian Prince but when it came to cell or even landline calls from unidentified sources you would hear  "This is Greg Sheehy!" It always galled Ed and Lissy would give her trademark eye roll as he listened to claims of needed IRS payments that might end the family in jail. Greg would respond, taking them serious with rebuttals of overdue Amazon payments, denied wire transfers and was not quick to act on limited time offers. I  mean, the oldest con in the books the Automobile Warranty calls would be met with "This is Greg Sheehy" then an argument over claims he knew to be false of uneeded repairs. Yet, any of us can let our guard down and he actually texted me about a call from Jury Duty wanting his social security number when he had not been called. I was with him driving when he argued with some jerk in India about Microsoft finding a breech in his computer searches that discovered pornograhy. The three fellas remember when Ed thought he had a sweet deal on a gaming computer until the seller wanted payment transferred to Western Union which waived red flags over Francis. Insted of letting the robocalls fill his answering machine for future deletions he might pick it up just to let the bums trying the rip him off  gain the knowledge that someone lived at that random phone number they just called. It is astounding that in 2024 Americans were bilked out of 12 and a half BILLION dollars by rat bastards like the guys Greg would argue with on his cell phone. As Ameicans get stupider and stupider the figure has risen by 2 billion a year. It is estimated 80 million idiot Americans got fleeced last year alone so "This is Greg Sheehy" may have been  unnecessary they never got a penny out of Greg Sheehy and the only fraud I think he was victim of was at  Lawry's over bottles of wine.
