Turn on tune in and drop out fellas!
The use of vitamins L S and D have been discussed here but most of the tripping took place in the 1970's while recreational experimentation continuted onward and upward. Most of the psychedelic pals of Greg left thier space voyages behind with married life but they still talked about places and creatures they met in the hallucinatory world. I will just focus on a short Sheehy tale and leave my Sespe camping bloodbath, Bobcat's rice crispies and Cousin Kent's Yes concert for full posts someday soon. Since Greg is the focus here I start with his solo drop in Palm Desert when he took back some green booger to his little trailer where he lived while working for Evan in the Coachella valley. For some reason he decided to liven up a Saturday afternoon by dropping and taking a drive out to the Salton Sea's splendorous surroundings. The once resort has fallen on sad times and what used to be picturesque has become more groteque due to rising-salinization and dead fish rotting on the shore. Greg did not have his fun spoiled by the stink and black flies however and took in the sights as a weird and wonderful part of life. It was when he returned home and readied himself for some TV in his tiny trailer that he found the acid continuing to play tricks on his buzzing brain. He shook his head in wonder as the grain in the wood panelled intertior began to melt and change as he watched snarling wolves come alive on the walls very near his face. When he told this story he did an amazing growl of a vicious and aggressive wolf, albeit one created from his own subconscious. Typical of Greg he was able to right his ship and re-focus on some PBS programs probably, thus leaving the snarling beasts to sink back into the woodwork. In my experience I do not think that man ever suffered an acid bummer which I did twice. As an advocate of the consciousness expanding drugs I always approached them with great respect and would never, ever dose anyone who wasn't ready for the instensity in a trip. In Greg's case, he never met an acid trip he didn't like.
